You know the name. Can you find the city behind the story? This quiz connects people and cultural moments to real places: the cities where careers began, works of art found a home and public lives changed course.
The challenge is more than remembering a birthplace. Read each clue for the event it describes, then decide which city fits. Our questions focus mainly on the United States and Europe, with other destinations mixed in.
- Artists and their work

A tip for this topic
Separate the person from the event. A place associated with someone is not always where the particular moment in the clue happened.
Can I play without an account?
Yes. Guest play is free and unlimited. Google sign-in is optional. Your summary scores currently stay in the browser where you play; signing in does not yet transfer them between devices.
Where do the answers come from?
Each answer includes an explanation and a source link after you submit your guess. Follow that link to read more about the event, rather than relying on the short clue alone.
